This blog is not written by someone with a Ph.D. or by a doctor who has gone through 4 years of medical school. Rather, it's written by an incredibly ordinary college student. I used to be just as unaware as some of you reading this blog right now about the many preventative measures we could take to decrease our risks of cancer. Cancer most likely has impacted each and every one of us in some way. It has made some of us stronger, broken some, and probably scared many others. However, 20% of all cancers diagnosed in the US are caused by a combination of lack of exercise, excess body fat, too much alcohol consumption and poor nutrition. All these factors I just mentioned are PREVENTABLE factors.

Yes, I don't even have my college degree yet. But, I have done extensive research on our many risk factors and have come up with some suggestions as to how we can decrease our risks together. So I invite you to join me and my journey as I take on these suggestions that will be in the "Do's and Dont's" section of this website. Whether cancer has affected you personally or not, I urge you to read over this blog and perhaps pick up some tips, regardless of how big or small.

Thank you guys!

Together, let us prevent a battle that doesn't need be fought in.
